Bay Window Rebuild, Hampton, London

Our clients were very excited by the prospect of reinstating a period-correct Victorian Bath stone bay window to the front elevation of their property.
Their home is situated on a very pretty road in Hampton, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. All of the houses in the road had matching bay windows, so for this project, we took exact dimensions and details from a neighbour’s house and with these created a new, hand carved, bay window.
You will notice that there is no guttering running around the front of the bay window. This is because we created a gutter within the stone of the moulded cornice section. This was fully leaded to ensure no water damage to the stone.
We also changed the slates on the roof to a natural welsh slate and re-leaded all elements of the bay window roof.
The owners were so happy with their new stone bay window, that they decided not to paint it and showcase the aesthetic of the beautiful natural Bath stone.
