Stone balustrade installation example, London

We were commissioned to supply and replace the new stone balustrades for a full house renovation and restoration in Holland Park, London, W11.
This included replacing the front baluster plinth, balusters and coping.
Along the client’s road, all of the properties have identical front baluster walls. To create the replica design that the client requested, we made a detailed survey of their neighbour’s wall.
As the original walls had failed beyond repair, the view was taken to fully replace them. The setting out is very important on jobs like these as if one baluster is installed even 5mm out of position, the entire wall will not work physically or aesthetically.
The installation and full decoration took two weeks to complete.
The client was very happy with the result as it tied their house perfectly into the other houses along the road.
